Abrams Message Regarding COVID-19
At Abrams, we have been actively monitoring the current COVID-19 scenario over the past few days. The health and well-being of our customers, employees, and community is of utmost importance during this time. In response, we have implemented universal precautions as outlined by the Government of Canada’s website.
We are taking daily health and safety measures in the office to ensure the safety of our employees. Many of our office administration employees are requested to work from home in order to reduce the human impact in the workplace. Our call center employees work in a space separate from the rest of the office, with an adequate amount of space between each desk. They are encouraged to wipe down and sanitize their desks, armrests, monitors, and phones before and after their shift. Collectively, we take turns wiping down common surfaces such as door handles, shared equipment, and furniture. We also have disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizers available in the common areas in case people need it.
On the road, our drivers are well aware of the precautions they need to take to protect themselves and their customers as well. Any bodily contact, including handshakes, is strongly discouraged at this time. We encourage customers to exercise their sanitary precautions (hand sanitizer, wipes, etc.) as it suits them. As always, our drivers will do their best to keep their trucks clean while they’re in service.
